Ballerina Birthday

My little Razy is growing up way to fast.  She is 6!!  When did she get to be 6?  She is such a little girly girl. She does like to play sports, get dirty, catch snakes, and rough house.  However, she also loves to dance, sing, dress up, and get fancy.  This year she started dance classes and it was perfect timing to do the much awaited ballerina party.

Her cake was six 6" rounds filled with vanilla cream cheese and strawberry filling.  Covered in fluffy american buttercream and topped with marshmallow fondant. The skirt, slippers, and other embellishments were also marshmallow fondant.

I can't get over how so grown up she is getting.  She really is becoming a little lady.  But, she is still my oh so dang cute little Razy.

The little ballerina got to enjoy 3 parties this year.  One with sundaes with our little family on her actual birthday, another with her big cake with extended family and really close friends, and this year she got to invite some friends over for a ballerina party.
As a thank you for coming to her party we made these adorable hand print tutus.  These ones were Dimple's and Razy's. To find out how to make  your own check it out on my other blog.

Hawaiian Birthday Cake

This was a fun cake to make.  The reason being I didn't have to bake it.  I only did the fun stuff (decorating). A friend of mine contacted me and asked if I would help her give a costco cake a makeover.  It was so fun to create.  Her twins were turning five and they were also getting ready to take a family trip to Hawaii.  This was the perfect summer birthday cake.

Camping Birthday Cake

Such a fun birthday cake.  This one was for my 9 year old. He asked for a camping and fishing cake.  After much thought from Lil' E, mommy, and daddy, we came up with this cake.  Lil' E told me he wanted a pond with jello and fish crackers, a tent, and a guy fishing.  Well I am not good at all with making people so that one was out.  Daddy put his two cents in and I am glad he did.  He told me to push myself and do a pond with real water.  Well I did and I even added a little surprise for Lil' E.

I was thrilled when my idea of having the campfire really burn turned out.  All in all I LOVED this cake and it was so fun to do.  He loved it too.  I love it when my kids enjoy their cakes.

The cake was a chocolate and vanilla zebra cake, covered in fondant.  Everything (well almost everything) was edible.  The pond itself was not (for obvious reasons) edible.

You Are My Sunshine Birthday Party

My baby girl is a year old.  I don't know where the time went.  I don't know how she has grown up and turned one on me.  Our little ball of sunshine only deserved the best and sweetest birthday party to usher her into her next year.
My pinterest table.  We had large lemonheads, small lemonheads, taffy spears, brownie pops, lemon curd cookies with lemon curd filling, mints, homemade buttermints, and hershey kisses. And don't forget the birthday cake!
The birthday cake was three tiers.  It was orange dreamsicle with orange dreamsicle filling.  It was oh so yummy.  It was covered it fluffy buttercream (a new recipe I found that I actually like.  It is a mixture between IMBC and ABC), then covered in marshmallow fondant. I love the way the petal layer turned out.
Dimple's smash cake was iced in the buttercream using a rosette technique.
Brownie pops: Brownies covered in white chocolate.  The silver ones were then dipped in silver sanding sugar.
Taffy spears, lemonheads, and homemade buttermints.

The drink table.  Pineapple lemonade and water.  I love my new little milk bottles.  I have many plans for them in the future.

The following pictures are just because.  This little cutie steals my heart everyday.  Happy Birthday Little Dimples.

Thanks to my grandma, Dimples was all dolled up in this cute little outfit.  I can't get over how dang cute it is.

She even made her a pair of matching bloomers with a cute ruffle bum.  I made her necklace from gumballs left over from my little sister's wedding.

Such a ham.  She had us all laughing while we watched her dig into her cake.

I absolutely love this picture of Dimples and my mom.
